The Support Services Housekeeping team at Spaulding Academy & Family Services is looking to add another Floor Care Technician to their staff. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all Spaulding facilities flooring ~ carpeted and hard flooring surfaces ~ are kept in clean and safe condition.

Requirements are:

• A high school diploma or GED certificate, or 4 years of floor care experience in a formal business setting in lieu of education.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• A current NH Driver’s license and good driving record.
• Knowledge and an understanding of floor surface cleaning concepts and cleaning products.
• Floor cleaning equipment (commercial level) is required.
• You must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have the ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely, efficient manner.
• Experience is helpful, but willing to train the right individual.

Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Moving furniture before and after cleaning
• Stripping and waxing floors, shampooing carpets
• Operate commercial equipment for stripping, waxing, shampooing flooring
• Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment properly
• Chemical maintenance, to include inventory, labeling, measuring and storing chemicals correctly
• Report all issues to supervisor
• Additional duties as assigned

Monday-Friday, 1:00pm - 9:00pm (staggered hours may be necessary for job completion) and occasional weekends will be required as needed. This position will report to the Support Services Manager.
